​What is therapeutic thermal therapy?
Therapeutic Thermal Therapy (sometimes called Contrast therapy) relies on the concept of vasodilation (when the body is warm) and vasoconstriction (when the body is cold). In short, it promotes the alternation between extreme hot and cold temperatures to encourage blood flow between internal organs and extremities. 

In a first for Tasmania, our therapeutic thermal therapy sessions are specifically developed using evidence-based protocols and ancient wisdom that support the use of thermal therapy as part of a holistic approach to overall health and wellbeing. 

What can it do for you?
It is just like a gentle internal workout for your cells, nervous, lymphatic and circulatory systems that will naturally boost your energy levels, enhance your immunity, boost concentration, rid toxins from your body, speed up recovery, soothe sore muscles and boost happiness hormones.

Using top of the range facilities in our outdoor, all weather, Urban Oasis that includes a full spectrum far infrared sauna, magnesium hot tub and ice bath, our 2hr therapeutic thermal recovery sessions provides the ideal length of  time for your body to reach the required temperatures for optimum results.

​2hr therapeutic thermal recovery

​Especially designed for the exercise enthusiast or athlete this session has a specially designed protocol that helps speed up recovery, improve flexibility soothe sore muscles and improve mental resilience.

​A typical protocol includes a cool shower and body scrub, 30mins in the magnesium hot tub, intermittent bursts of 20secs in the ice bath for 2mins, 45mins-1hr in the far infrared sauna, another 20secs in the ice bath, 10mins in the magnesium hot tub, another dip in the ice bath, cool shower and dress for departure.

2hr therapeutic thermal rejuvenation 
Doing what's good for you doesn't always have to be hard work or boring.

Relax for a couple of hours whilst the thermal properties of our thermal urban oasis facilities stimulates your circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems on a cellular level. 

Rotate from one facility to another at your own leisure and choose what kind of treatment you need for the sessions. You may need a detox, a metabolism boost, to improve sleep, soothe sore muscles, or maybe you'd just like to relax and rejuvenate.

Gather 6 of your favourite people and enjoy a relaxing and invigorating private therapeutic thermal session in our Urban Oasis. Your group will have access to our magnesium hot tub, full spectrum sauna, ice bath & shower facilities. All to yourself!
